On 11 Dec’15, Goa’s Chief minister Mr. Laxmikant Parsekar in a meeting urged the truck owners to resolve the deadlock between mine owners and truck owners over transportation of iron ore. But the mining truck owners have rejected the govt’s proposal and strike has continued.
On the other side, the mining company is finding it difficult to hike the fares as they are already struggling with falling global iron ore prices.
Goan miners have resumed mining activities in the month of Oct’15 and the strike called by truck owners has suspended the movement for iron ore exports.
