Steel major Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 3,000 t (60 kg full length) of commercial rails on 20 Feb’24 from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Buyers booked the total quantity at INR 40,500/t exw. At the previous auction on 11 Jan, around 4,750 t of similar grade material were booked at INR 41,000/t exw.
