Merchant miners in Odisha have kept their prices unchanged as of now. The miners had revised the prices in the beginning of this month and have maintained their offers for now.
Miners may cut fines price: Odisha based major merchant miners may cut iron ore fines prices owing to reduced dispatches. Majority of pellet makers in eastern India have suspended merchant pellet sales looking at price disparity in its production cost and its sales price. Also drift in sponge iron manufacturers interest from pellet to lump has negated the buying interest of pellets.
As per Odisha govt. data iron ore dispatches from state have reduced significantly 39% M-o-M from from 4.46 MnT in Oct’15 to 2.71 MnT in Nov’15. (Figures are excluding dispatches of Tata Steel.)
