Prices of imported chrome ore from South Africa (40-42% grade) inched up by RMB 0.5/dmtu, reaching RMB 57.5-58/dmtu ex-Tianjin. This increase can be attributed to heightened post-holiday plant procurement and raw material shortage. Rising demand also boosted future prices and lower priced chrome ore were not available in the market.
