Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena announced that coal will be offered at subsidized rates specifically for coal gasification. Coal India and SCCL have pledged to ensure a steady supply through long-term linkages for coal gasification needs. However, for other sectors like cement, steel, coal is made available at a premium.
