Due to improvement in finished steel demand, structure market has risen sharply in domestic market. East Indian secondary structure manufacturers are happier as prices here have jumped by INR 500/MT for all grades.
Meanwhile, heavy and light structure prices in southern market have moved up by INR 250/MT W-o-W. However in central market, heavy structure prices have increased by INR 1,000/MT and light by INR 500/MT.
On the other side, western India based structure makers are under pressure, especially in Ahmedabad. Angle and channel prices of few grades here have declined by INR 200-600/MT. However in Mumbai, one of the major consumer of structural products, prices rose by upto INR 1,000/MT for angle and channel.
Light structure angle (40*40) offers are assessed in Mumbai at INR 26,300/MT, Durgapur at INR 25,900/MT, Raipur at INR 24,200/MT and Hyderabad at INR 26,250/MT. Meanwhile, heavy structure beam (200*100) in Ghaziabad is offered at INR 27,000/MT.
