- South Korea’s iron ore (including pellets) imports inched up by 6% m-o-m to 6.23 mnt in Jan’24 as against 5.86 mnt in Dec’23, as per Customs data.
- Australia emerged as the largest exporter with 4.26 mnt followed by Brazil with 1.41 mnt.
- Meanwhile, import volumes increased by 2% y-o-y in Jan’24 from 6.11 mnt in Jan’23.
