BigMint’s weekly price assessment dropped by $4/t to $356/t CPT Nepal, (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%). Two rakes (4,500 t) of sponge iron were sold at $330/t loaded to wagon eastern India, equivalent to $355/t CPT Nepal (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%). Sources also reported 2,000 t of PDRI (FeM 78%) was concluded for Nepal by road at $303/t ex mill, eastern India. Also, about 5,500 t of sponge iron was sold to Bangladesh at around $360-362/t CPT Benapole.
