NMDC, India’s single largest iron ore miner has produced 17.50 MnT in first eight months of this fiscal year (Apr’15-Nov’15). Iron ore sales amounted to a total of 17.72 MnT in the same period.
Compared to the same period in last financial year, iron ore production & sales figures are down by 8.4% and 10.7 % respectively.
Out of the total production, 10.03 MnT iron ore was produced from its Chhattisgarh Bailadila mines and 7.47 MnT was produced from its mines in Karnataka (Donimalai and Kumaraswamy).
Iron ore sales from NMDC Chhattisgarh mines summed up to 9.94 MnT and sales from its Karnataka mines stood at 7.78 MnT.
NMDC iron ore sales down by 24% M-o-M in Nov’15
On a monthly basis, NMDC iron ore production and sales figures fell by 11.4% and 24% respectively in Nov’15. NMDC iron ore production and sales stood at 2.41 MnT & 1.99 MnT respectively in Nov’15.
