Iron ore (Fe 62%) fines spot prices sharply decreased d-o-d by $4.8/t to $128/t CFR China on 2 Feb’24 amid the rise in inventories at the Chinese portside. Heavy rainfall with snowing weather in multiple regions of China led to logistic hurdles resulting in a drop in iron ore demand. Steel mills are expected to take maintenance shutdown from next week amid Lunar holidays.
