SCCL Records Highest Coal Production in November

SCCL has recorded coal production of about 5.28 MnT in Nov’15 against targeted 4.83 MnT – the highest level since Apr’15.

The state-owned SCCL (Singareni Collieries Company Ltd) has achieved highest record of about 5.28 MnT coal production in Nov’15 with a hike of 15.5% Y-o-Y. This is the highest quantity produced by the company in last eight months of this fiscal.

Total production has reached at 37.5 MnT during Apr’15-Nov’15 against the target of 34.6 MnT. The company has registered a growth of 108% – a new record in coal supplies. SCCL had supplied 38.1 MnT of coal during last eight months.

Quantity in MnT

Meanwhile, the company’s fuel supply has also increased by about 120% to 2.16 MnT against the target of 1.8 MnT, as per Fuel Supply Agreements (FSAs).

SCCL has supplied 5 MnT through 950 rakes in Nov’15, registering a growth of 17% Y-o-Y. During Nov’14, the company had supplied 4.4 MnT of coal through 696 rakes. This time, the company has managed to supply 20% higher coal to thermal power plants.
