Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market edged down by INR 100/t d-o-d on 27 Jan’24. As per SteelMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices are at INR 33,700/t exy. Lacklustre trading in semi-finished and finished steel over the past couple of days has dampened scrap demand in the region resulting in a drop in offers.
