Odisha Govt. Issues Notification on Mineral Transport

Bhubaneshwar: The Odisha state govt. has recently issued a notification to the State Transport Authority and Regional Transport Authorities of mineral bearing districts of the state namely Angul, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Sundergarh & Jagatsinghpur.

According to the notification, the freight rates for mineral carrying goods within & outside those mentioned above districts shall be fixed as mentioned below:

For 1 way distance above 50 kms (with load)

Earlier on 7th Aug’15, Odisha govt had fixed ceiling prices on mineral transport to ease the mineral transportation within state. This was done to ensure proper transportation of minerals within the state.
