Bhubaneswar: Odisha government owned Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), which runs loss making steel and ferro chrome units like IDCOL Kalinga Iron Works ltd (IKIWL) and IDCOL Ferro Chrome and Alloys ltd (IFCAL) has offered to sell about 43,000 crushed iron ore fines through electronic auction.
Out of the 43,000 MT, 25,000 MT are Crushed Iron Ore fines size (-)10mm with Fe content +55% and 18000 Tonnes of the same size with +53 Fe grade. MSTC on behalf of IDC will conduct the e-auction process and will be opened on 4th of December.
It may be noted that IDC ltd has been trying to sell the two sick industrial units since last year and is talks with several central Public sector units like SAIL, KIOCL and NALCO. But after several round of talks and deliberations SAIL and NALCO have reportedly decided to exit the race.
