It
is reported that Turkey's steel scrap imports went down by 7.5 percent compared
to the same month of 2011, with 1.8 million MT. However, it is up by 3.1
percent from previous month i.e. August 2011
Further,
in the third quarter (July-September) of 2012 Turkey's scrap imports reached 5.6
million MT, down by 2.5 percent from the same period in 2011 and down by 8 percent
from the previous quarter (April-June 2012) this year.
Meanwhile,
Turks have imported around 16.86 million MT of scrap in the period of
January-September 2012, up by 7.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
