Pig Iron exports from Brazil stood at 286,853 metric tons (mt) in October 12 which marked a rise of 67% as compared to 171,499 mt exported in October 11.
The number is also higher if compared to a total of 274,824 mt supplied in September this year.
Pig Iron producers in Brazil quoted prices at $419/MT FOB Brazilian Port for exports purposes in October 12, lower than the September offers at $426/MT FOB.
There are almost no chances of Pig Iron price hike in Brazil in the next fifteen days or anytime in December.
US imported 196,631 tons of Pig Iron in October 12, 77,873 tons in total during the same month last year and 199,746 mt in September 11.
