NMDC Offers Sponge Iron at INR 13,900/MT

NMDC is offering 76 FeM C-DRI (sponge iron) lump at INR 13,900/MT and 78 FeM fines at INR 12,900/MT from its sponge unit based in Telangana.

NMDC, having a coal based sponge iron unit with 200 TPD capacity at Paloncha in Khammam district of Telangana, is offering sponge iron lump and fines of different grades.

The company’s ex-works prices applicable from 1 Oct’15 to 15 Oct’15 are INR 13,900/MT for sponge iron lump (76 FeM) and INR 12,900/MT fines (78 FeM). Advance payment, taxes and duties extra are applicable at the time of delivery.

Present 80 FeM P-DRI (pellet sponge) offers in Hyderabad are prevailing in the range of INR 13,600-13,800/MT on regular payment (7-8 days) basis. In general, C-DRI is costlier than P-DRI by INR 1,000-1,500/MT in domestic market.

It is also to be noted that NMDC follows fortnightly pricing system for its sponge iron products valid from 1 Oct’15 to 15 Oct’15. During the same duration, the purchase orders can only be placed and executed.
