Bagadiya Brothers, a leading merchant exporter in India is to export 79,600 MT iron ore after a gap of 7 months.
An Indian iron ore export shipment has come up after a time gap of 3 months. Last iron ore export shipment from India was noticed in the month of June’15 whereby Essel Mining had exported 39,300 MT iron ore to China.
As per customs data, Bagadiya Brothers is to export 79,600 MT iron ore via vessel named “MV Vishva Jyoti” through Dhamra Port. The vessel is expected to arrive at Dhamra Port on 18 Oct’15. Bagadiya Brothers had last exported 19,900 MT iron ore to China via Paradip Port in the month of Feb’15. Since then the company’s iron ore exports have remained nil.
The exporter moved 21 rakes (80,850 MT) of iron ore from Juruli siding to Dhamra Port as per the railway program data maintained with SteelMint. It moved 10 rakes in Sept’15 and 11 rakes in Oct’15 (till date).
More iron ore export vessels are likely to come up this month as Vedanta has already finalized export shipments of the auctioned cargoes to China. Thus, low grade iron ore exports from Goa are likely to gear up in the near term.
