Indian HR (HS code-7208) imports registered a fall of about 14% from 0.42 MnT in Aug’15 to 0.37 MnT in Sept’15. Meanwhile, CR (HS code-7209) imports fell by 20% from 0.10 MnT in Aug’15 to 0.08 MnT in Sept’15.
India imported about 60,438 MT of HRC, 7,665 MT of CRC and 18,313 MT of MS plates in the month of September.
Highest HRC importer in the month was Ratnamani Metals & Tubes, which imported 16,989 MT from Korea at Kandla port. CRC’s highest importer was Maruti Suzuki; imported 5,106 MT from Japan and Korea while highest plate importer was Man Industries; imported 13,015 MT from Austria at Kandla port.
