“Low prices of Billet in Indian domestic market and strong dollar against rupee have interested Billet producers to supply material to Bangladesh and Nepal based buyers”, said market sources.
“Steel market is India has not been good. Whereas, prices across the globe are rising. Bangladesh steel mills are heard getting offers for 100*100 mm Billet at around $570/MT CFR Chittagong Bangladesh from Korea and China.
Indian offers will certainly be competitive in that sense,” said a Billet exporter in Kolkata, India.
