Billet sales in eastern region has been impacted due to less cash flow in market and as finished long steel products into which Billet has to be ultimately rolled is witnessing low demand.
Manufacturers of Billet in Kolkata are offering it at Rs 34,000/MT (Inclusive of ED & taxes).
According to Mr. Anil Jain, Director Commercial at Concast Group in Kolkata, West Bengal, “Prices might drop further in December as buyers are looking to stock the semi finished material at low prices and sellers are worried about rise in inventory levels”.
