Indian structure prices have been under pressure since few weeks. A sharp downfall of upto INR 600/MT in prices is witnessed in this week.
East (-400), west (-600) and south India (-500) based structure makers have reduced most traded 40 angle prices steeply for all grades.
Market participant highlighted that sharp decline in secondary billet prices across major markets is the main factor of structure price corrections. Alongside, infrastructure demand is also on halt due to last week festival season; leading to subdued demand.
Central India market Raipur, which is considered as a hub of secondary manufacturer and small rolling mills, has remained almost stable with marginal price correction.
Current 100*100 angle prices movement in domestic market are – Raipur at INR 27,100/MT (0), Duragpur at INR 28,900/MT (-400) and Hyderabad at INR 29,000/MT (-500).
Heavy structure, 200*100 Beam is offered in Gaziabad at INR 30,700/MT (-200) and Raipur at INR 27,100/MT (0).
