Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, one of the largest Pig iron manufacturers in India, has increased Pig iron offers sharply by INR 800/MT for rest of September deliveries.
Currently, offers for N1 grade Pig iron are at INR 17,800/MT, ex-Cuttack, which was previously at INR 17,000/MT. The company is also allowing discounts upto INR 300/MT on bulk quantity purchases.

The company had recently (8 Sept’15) increased Pig iron offers by INR 600/MT to INR 17,000/MT, ex-Cuttack, which as a result has stimulated Pig iron market in India. Indian Pig iron prices have increased by around INR 1,000-1,500/MT in a month’s time.
