NMDC is the only source of providing good quality iron ore of Fe 62, 63 or 63.5 and even 64 in the country at present. The high grades iron ore are quite suitable for Iron Ore Pellet making.
Non availability of quality grades of iron ore across India has resulted in high prices in e-auctions of NMDC on the 28th of November and those who can afford the same have secured their supply of iron ore.
The major iron ore miners are unable to supply high grade iron ore as cargoes are over. Market has to wait for the major miners to produce the raw material and supply it in large quantities.
