Odisha based pellet maker, Jindal Steel & Power, has resumed pellet sales and raised offers by INR 150/MT.
Jindal Steel & Power, having a pellet capacity of 9 MnT pa, has raised its offers by INR 150/MT. Offers for Fe 63% pellets which were last heard at INR 4,250/MT (loaded to wagons) have now moved up to INR 4,400/MT (loaded to wagons). Prices have increased over limited availability of pellets in the domestic market.
Arya Iron & Steel, a leading merchant pellet maker with a capacity of 1.2 MnT pa, is not offering pellets and is likely to take a maintenance shutdown for about a month, starting from September 1. Thus, looking at near-term limited availability of pellets in domestic market, JSPL has raised its pellet offers.
