Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has fixed ceiling prices of mineral transportation in 6 mineral bearing districts i.e. Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Jagatsingpur in the state. The Odisha commerce and Transport department has issued a notification on 7th of this month.
As per the notification there are different slabs for mineral transportation beyond 100 kilometers and within 100 kilometers. For beyond 100 km the maximum price for a six wheeler truck has been fixed at Rs. 6.40 per tonne of mineral per km. For a ten wheeler truck it is Rs.5.10 per tonne per km and for a twelve wheeler truck the price is fixed at Rs 4.10 per tonne per km.
Similarly, the maximum freight for mineral transportation through six to ten wheeler trucks moving within 100 km would be Rs. 2000 per day plus twice the running cost or Rs.3500 whichever is higher.
