NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation)- India’s largest iron ore producer has kept iron ore prices unchanged for Aug’15 deliveries. It had cut fines prices by INR 300/MT and lump prices by INR 100/MT last month.

Iron ore production and sales have increased in July’15 and have moved up by 33% and 23% respectively. Iron ore production stood at 2.4 MnT (0.18 MnT DR-CLO and 1.5 MnT fines), and sales were 2.6 MnT (0.17 MnT DR CLO & 1.89 MnT fines).

NMDC’s Iron Ore Procurement Via Railways Up in July’15
JSW Steel significantly increased its purchases from NMDC Chhattisgarh mines in July’15. It procured 281,050 MT iron ore in July’15. Similarly, RINL, a major buyer of NMDC has also raised its purchases by 29% M-o-M from 396,500 MT in June’15 to 512,050 MT in July’15.
