MMTC, on behalf of NINL, is offering about 8,590 MT LAM coke for sale in domestic market. The material will be sold against 100% advance payment for first rake. The offered LAM coke contains 12.5% of ash (max) with sizes available in the range of 20-80 mm. The material will be offered through rail.The offer is valid till 31 July’15.
Continuing with last month’s offers, the company decided to keep prices unchanged for July deliveries and is offering at INR 13,000/MT ex-NINL. In June, the company had offered 26,540 MT LAM coke at INR 13,000/MT.
Imported Met Coke Offers
Imported Met Coke offers are witnessed in the range of USD 150-155/MT, CFR China. Prices have been continuously facing a downturn owing to lesser demand in China. Chinese steelmakers have halted their purchase of coking coal due to sufficient inventories levels as well as expectations for further fall in steel prices.
Met Coke Imports
India imported 300,000 MT Met coke in June’15, whereas total Met coke import in Q1 FY16 was recorded as 800,000 MT.
