India: Iron Fines Price increased 10.43% in 13th September's E-auction

Iron ore's e-auction results for various mines and stockyards in Karnataka which was held on 13th September'13, 86% of Iron ore was sold i.e. 172,000MT. The total quantity of Iron ore offered for sale was around 200,000MT.

 

Total number of bids received was 263 out of which number of bidders was 14 and number of winners was 9.

 

Iron ore fines booking prices were increased by 10.43% against the floor price and Iron ore lumps booking prices increased by 0.46%.

 

Details of Quantity sold:

Iron ore lumps 92,000MT

Iron ore fines 80,000MT

 

Overall 3.78% increase was noted in the booking price of Iron ore against the floor price. 

Average price for grade 61.5% fines in auction was INR 2385 and grade 66.43% fines price was INR 3222. Whereas average price for grade 65.25% lumps in auction was INR 3930.

 

Main bidders in auction were JSW Steel ltd which purchased 92,000MT of iron ore out of which 52% are fines, Sesa Goa ltd which, purchased 44,000MT of Iron ore out of which 81% are lumps, SLR Metaliks ltd which purchased 16,000MT of Iron ore in with 50% lumps included.
