A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. A.K. Dubey, Additional Secretary (Coal), Ministry of Coal on 8 June’15, for discussing pending issues related to rationalization of coal linkage in step-I.
Highlights:
1. Pending issues related to rationalization of coal linkages in stage-I were explained briefly.
2.Coal India revealed 5 cases were left for finalization of rationalized sources on grounds of cost plus price issue of WCL and average price of SCCL’s e-auction.
3.GSECL stated that if quantity is interchanged from one company to other, it should be done on notified price.
4. WCL stated that price of coal was not increased and saving on railway freight will be available, as per the decision of IMTF, at the time of submitting comparative pit head price of pre rationalized sources.
6. NTPC stated that rationalized allocation of resources for Simhadri and Ramagundam should be reviewed together.
7. SCCL declared that it is not able to supply coal on normal notified price because of non-availability of extra coal for long term and extra coal supply to Ramagundam and Kothagudem.
8. SCCL was ordered by Additional Secretary (Coal) to review application for e-auction prices of FSA coal.
9. Coal ministry provided guidance for operationalisation of remaining rationalized allocation and directed to arrange meeting at the earliest to discuss on linkage swapping.
