In week 23, coal inventory at Indian ports declined by 3%. Coal stock at Kandla port assessed at 3.2 MnT against 2.9 MnT in previous week.
SteelMint assessed that by the end of the week under review, coal stock at major ports in India was about 15.9 MnT against 16.4 W-o-W basis. Coking coal inventory declined by about 6% and was assessed at 3 MnT in week 23.

Adani and SAIL were the highest stock holders, at about 1 and 0.8 MnT coal respectively at the end of week. They together contributed to holding about 11% of the total stock.
Ports with Highest Coal Stock in Week 23
Kandla Port, with coal stock of 3.2 MnT in week 23 was the highest coal stock holder port, registering a growth of about 12.3% against last week. Paradip and Vizag ports had 3 MnT and 2.6 MnT of coal stock.
