Billet prices step up further by Rs 300/MT in Indian market

Until Friday in the last week, trades were decent in Indian Billet market and Billet makers have been raising offers looking at improved buying activities from manufacturers of re-bars and structures.

“Re-bar manufacturers are unwilling to make purchases at new price levels at Rs 31,000/MT. Whereas, some buying is anticipated from manufacturers of structures by evening”, said a Raipur based trader.

Today, prices of Billet soar high by up to Rs 300/MT at Durgapur and by Rs 200/MT at Mumbai and Kandla with slight increases elsewhere.
