In the first week of 2013, after months, the exports market has finally brought some good news for Indian Pig Iron exporters as 2012 din't prove to be a good export market.
“This was a good opportunity and we din't have to miss it out!
A couple of buyers were interested to lift the material and 30,000 tons Pig Iron (steel) exports tender floated by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, fetched highest bid at $396/MT FOB Vizag Port (INR 21,800).
Shipment of the material is to take place around third week of Jan as we are ready with our material”, said a senior official of the company.
