India: Aluminium scrap imports fall by 6% m-o-m in Dec’23

In December 2023, India’s aluminum scrap imports declined 6.25% m-o-m to 0.15 mnt from November’s 0.16 mnt, reflecting a similar y-o-y decrease. Zorba scrap, the largest import which saw a 14% monthly dip to 26,590 t, followed by TT with 35,994 t and Extrusion scrap with 26,549 t. The United States remained the primary supplier with 38,907 t, followed by Saudi Arabia (12,506 t) and the UK (11,552 t).
