A Meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee was held on 27,04.2015, for proposed auction of Coal linkages/LoAs through Competitive Bidding, under the Chairmanship of Dr. A.K. Dubey, Additional Secretary (Coal), Ministry of Coal.

(a) Classification of non-regulated sector into various sub sector
( i) Cement & Aluminum
(ii) Iron & Steel including Sponge Iron
(iii) Others
(b) Assignment of CIL’s incremental production to specific sector
(c) Reason for stagnation in demand of iron & steel were discussed
(d) Member’s discussed assurance of fair competition.
(e) Only 10% of received bids for schedule II & III had satisfied requirements.
(f) Tenure for linkages
(g) Sector wise allocation of CIL production.
