China: Ferro chrome imports climb 19% m-o-m in Feb’23

High-carbon ferro chrome imports into China rose by 19% m-o-m to 0.28 mnt in Feb’23 compared to 0.24 mnt in Jan’23.
The import volume went up due to higher demand from mainstream stainless steel mills and amid an expected recovery in domestic consumption.
Major exporting countries were South Africa at 0.15 mnt, Kazakhstan at 0.08 mnt and India at 0.03 mnt.
