USA: RMDAS ferrous scrap index continues uptrend m-o-m in Mar’23

The Raw Material Data Aggregation Service (RMDAS) ferrous scrap price index increased significantly m-o-m in Mar’23.
The average price of shredded scrap stood at $507/t (up $50/t m-o-m), prompt industrial composite scrap at $554/t (up $86/t), and the HMS index at $420/t (up by $32/t).
The index tracks USA’s spot market prices for steel mills and foundries.
