India’s domestic aluminium scrap prices remained stable d-o-d today even as LME three-month futures inched up 1%. Tense scrap prices stood at INR 161,000/t ($1,949/t), extrusion at INR 177,000/t ($2,142/t) and utensil grade at INR 171,000/t ($2,070/t), all exy. Few bookings have been made by mills that are operating at limited capacity utilisation. Moreover, market participants are awaiting price announcements by major automobile companies for alloy ingots.
