Vietnam: Ferrous scrap imports hit 8-month high in Feb’23

Vietnam’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 413,289 t in Feb’23, up significantly by 114% m-o-m compared to 193,250 t recorded in Jan’23.
The US was the largest supplier at 153,372 t, followed by Japan and Hong Kong at 153,314 t and 31,963 t respectively.
On a y-o-y basis, ferrous scrap imports by the country increased 35% against 306,558 t in Feb’22.
