SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 46,250/tonne (t) exw-Raipur on 11 March, 2023, a decrease of INR 350/t d-o-d. Around 1,450 t transaction were recorded on 11 March as against 1,600 t on 10 March.
SteelMint’s domestic steel scrap (end-cutting) index fell by INR 200/tonne (t) to INR 44,000/t DAP Mandi Gobindgarh on 11 March, 2023.
Sponge iron prices dropped in the range of INR 50-250/t in key locations on 11 March. About 5,810 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded on 11 March in India as against 12,100 t on 10 March.
