Indonesia: Ferrous scrap imports down 17% m-o-m in Jan’23

Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports stood at 81,822 t in Jan’23, a decrease of 17% m-o-m as compared to 98,116 t in Dec’22.
Australia was the largest exporter at 30,982 t followed by Hong Kong and Singapore at 24,017 t and 14,698 t, respectively.
On a y-o-y basis, imports declined sharply by 34% compared to 123,975 t in Jan’22.
