India’s Company-wise Iron Ore Production (Jan’22-Jan’23)

The country’s total production reached 249 mnt in 2022, as per available data, slightly higher than 246 mnt recorded in 2021. Odisha was the top iron ore producer among the Indian states in January at over 13 mnt, although production declined from over 14 mnt in December. AM/NS India, Rungta Mines, Vedanta, etc. were the top exporters during the month as well as in 2022 as a whole. While Paradeep Port handled the highest cargo volumes in February, the other major ports were Gopalpur, Krishnapatnam, Dhamra, Vizag, etc.
