Japan: Ferro chrome imports surge 68% m-o-m in Jan’23

Japan’s high carbon ferro chrome imports surged 68% m-o-m to 68,732 t in Jan’23 in comparison with 40,976 t in Dec’22, as per Customs data.
Kazakhstan was the largest exporter at 31,116 t followed by South Africa at 20,893 and Russia at 6,821 t in Jan’23.
Meanwhile, imports volumes inched up by 5% y-o-y compared to 65,468 t in Jan’22.
