Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) has signed a fuel supply agreement (FSA) for supplying 8.5 mnt coal annually to NTPC’s North Karanapura thermal power plant located in Jharkhand. The power plant is envisaged with a nameplate capacity of 1,980 MW comprising of three units of 660 MW each. Out of these, the first unit was recently commissioned in Jan’23.
