China: Steel billets prices edge up by RMB 20/t ($3/t) d-o-d

Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan increased d-o-d by RMB 20/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,950/t ($573/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 23 Feb’23.
Improved demand and supportive finished steel prices continued to support billets prices.
However, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,228 t ($613/t), a slight fall of RMB 9/t ($1/t) d-o-d.
