India: Manganese ore imports rise by 10% m-o-m in Jan’23

India’s manganese ore imports stood at 0.378 mnt in Jan’23, an increase of 10% m-o-m compared to 0.342 mnt in Dec’22, as per customs data.
The major exporters were South Africa (0.253 mnt), followed by Gabon (0.074 mnt) and Australia (0.051 mnt).
However, import volumes fell by 23% y-o-y compared to 0.491 mnt in Jan’22.
