A rolling mill based in Nepal told SteelMint about its recent deal for Billet which was concluded with SAIL.
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) was able to finalize 2,500 tons of MS Billet (IS 2830, sulphur plus phosphorus content 100) exports deal in the last week at around $565/MT (FOB Siding Durgapur, West Bengal), freight to Nepal border was Rs 1,200.
A private plant in Jharsuguda (Odisha) offered Billet (sulphur plus phosphorus content 110-120) at $570/MT CFR Nepal.But, buyers seem to be uninterested looking at weak demand.
