Export offers for hot-dipped galvanised iron (HDGI) coils from India have resumed after a long gap. Offers for HDGI (DX51D +Z80, 0.50mm, 900-1,250mm) have increased by a steep $110/t to $985/t FOB west coast compared with $875/t last assessed on 19 Jan’23. India exported 864,517 t of galvanised steel in CY’22, registering a decline of 59% against 2,083,829 t a year ago.
