Indonesia: Ferro chrome imports increase by 6% y-o-y in CY’22

Indonesia’s ferro chrome imports increased by 6% y-o-y to 15.98 mnt in CY’22 against 15.01 mnt in CY’21, as per Customs data.
South Africa was the largest exporter at 12.98 mnt followed by India 0.16 mnt and Kazakhstan at 0.12 mnt during CY’22.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s ferro chrome imports surged by 68% m-o-m to 149,209 t in Dec’22 compared to the last month.
