India’s induction furnace (IF) steel market witnessed mixed price trends, while offers floated by the mills fluctuated in the range of INR 100-500/tonne (t) d-o-d on 6 February, 2023.
Sponge iron prices edged up by INR 100-250/t. Prices rose in Raigarh’s sponge iron market by INR 250/t.
Billet prices varied in the range of INR 100-300/t. Prices decreased by INR 300/t in Maharashtra’s Jalna . However, a price hike of INR 250/t was seen in Rourkela market today.
In addition, rebar (Fe 500) offers rose in the range of INR 100-500/t. Prices edged up by INR 500/t in Hyderabad.
The finished long steel market saw moderate demand across regions and with rising prices in the northern region, steel prices strengthened in key locations, sources informed SteelMint.
